AS9100D Recertification Successfully Completed

V&S Engineering is pleased to announce the successful completion of our AS9100D recertification audit, conducted in January 2025. The audit — a comprehensive review of our entire quality management system spanning every process, procedure, and production operation — was passed with zero non-conformances. This clean audit result is a testament to the discipline and commitment of our entire team, from engineering and programming to machining, inspection, and management. In an industry where even minor findings are common, achieving zero non-conformances on a full recertification audit speaks directly to the maturity and effectiveness of our quality system.

AS9100D is the internationally recognized quality management standard specific to the aviation, space, and defense industries. Built on the foundation of ISO 9001:2015, it adds rigorous requirements for risk management, configuration management, product safety, counterfeit parts prevention, and special requirements for critical and key characteristics. Maintaining this certification requires continuous evidence of conformity across every aspect of our operations — from initial contract review and design transfer through production, inspection, delivery, and post-delivery support. Our recertification confirms that V&S meets or exceeds every one of these requirements.

The recertification process involved a thorough stage-one documentation review followed by a multi-day stage-two on-site audit. Auditors examined process controls, calibration records, training documentation, corrective and preventive action logs, management review records, internal audit findings, customer feedback systems, and objective evidence from active production programs. The zero non-conformance outcome reflects not just compliance, but a quality culture where best practices are maintained as a daily habit rather than an audit preparation exercise.
